Dr Anupam Goel is an Advanced Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Robotic Surgeon serving as Principal Consultant Surgeon and Head of Minimal Access, Bariatric and Robotic Surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali. After pursuing his Masters in General Surgery (MS) from Government Medical College Patiala, he completed his super-specialisation in Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery from the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

Dr Goel has been awarded prestigious fellowships in Minimal Access Surgery from premier national and international surgical bodies: AMASI (Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India), IAGES (Indian Association of Gastro-intestinal Endosurgeons), and EAES (European Association for Endoscopic Surgery). Aboard an Air India flight from Delhi to London, an elderly 78-year-old passenger collapsed into acute respiratory distress due to airway foreign-body obstruction. Dr Anupam Goel and Dr Misha Goel immediately took command, administering emergency intravenous access, bag-mask ventilation, and resuscitation for 40 straight minutes until an emergency landing was executed in Budapest, saving her life.
